Gretchen Colwell - Head Coach

The 2011 season will be Coach Colwell's 1st season as head coach. More info to come.

Eric Schuck- Sprints/ Relays

The 2011 season will be Coach Schuck's 6th season at Donegal. Coach Schuck works with the sprinters, coordinates strength training, and supervises the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. He earned his USA Track & Field Level 1 Coaching Certification in August 2006 and USA Track & Field Level 2 Coaching Certification for Sprints/ Hurdles/ Relays in July 2008. In November of 2009 Eric was recognized as a Level 1 Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting.

Coach Schuck was a sprinter as a student at Manheim Township HS where he finished 3rd in the 400m at districts and was a state qualifier his junior year. Coach Schuck is employed as a sales engineer by a company that offers industrial automation and software solutions.

Duane Koser- Mid/ Long Distance

The 2011 season will be Duane's 5th season coaching the distance events. He had previously helped with the distance events as a volunteer coach for several seasons, and knows the program well from competing at Donegal as an athlete. Duane then competed at the Naval Academy and still runs and competes locally.

Highlights of his career were finishing 2nd at states in crosscountry his senior year and winning a district championship. He also is on the Top Ten Track and Field Honor Roll at Donegal in the mile and 3200 meters. He placed 3rd in the 3200 meters at States his senior year. He has earned his USA Track & Field Level 1 Coaching Certification.

Coach Wit- Horizontal and Vertical Jumps

The 2011 season will be Coach Wit's 11th season at Donegal. He was an athlete and coach at Columbia before coming to Donegal. He works with the Long Jumpers, Triple Jumpers, and High Jumpers.

Pam Kolp- Throws

Coach Kolp has coached throwers for many years at Donegal. She was an athlete at Donegal competing in basketball, track and field hockey. She is on the Donegal Track & Field Top 10 Honor Roll in the javelin, shot put, and discus and did place 2nd at States her senior year. She has also coached several other sports at Donegal including, basketball, softball, and field hockey.

She has had quite a bit of succes coaching the throwers at Donegal. The Donegal honor roll is covered with athletes she has coached, and she routinely has helped athletes make the state meet where several athletes have won state medals.

Don Farr - Pole Vault

The 2010 season will be Coach Farr's 3rd season as a Pole Vault coach. He vaulted in HS and has not lost the passion for it. He is a proud parent of 2 Donegal HS student athletes.

Kim Griest- Mid/ Long Distance

The 2011 season will be Coach Kim's 6th season helping with the distance events. She enjoys cheer for and supporting the team. She has worked closly with the coaches to help with fundraising and the booster club. She also works as the score keeper at home meets. She works for Donegal at Riverview Elementary teaching Learning Support.

She has also earned her USA Track & Field Level 1 Coaching Certification this past summer.

Phil Koser- TBA

The 2011 season will be Coach Koser's 10th season being involved in Track at Donegal. He has been a head coach for 5 seasons, and prior to becoming head coach he was an assistant coach for 4 years. Coach Koser has coached sprinters, hurdlers, and middle and long distance runners at Donegal. Phil has also coached the Donegal Cross Country team at both the HS and JH levels for the past 10 years. In July 2006 Coach Koser earned his USA Track & Field Level 1 Coaching Certification.

Coach Koser works for the Donegal School District teaching 6th grade at Donegal Middle School. He is a Hempfield HS and Messiah College graduate where he competed in both cross country and track.
